Towards Independence at AMH Promote

AMH Promote in Bangor, County Down, is a training centre for adults, offering life skills, vocational and employment training and development programmes. Our clients have varying levels of learning disabilities and they are all working towards independence.

The ASDAN Towards Independence modules have made a real difference to the centre and our clients. Through the Using Transport module, clients have developed the confidence to make their own way to the centre, enabling us to donate our minibus to another service. We have also had great success with the Horticulture module, holding weekly sessions in our horticulture area. We recently introduced the Multi-Sensory Experiences module, which will have significant health and wellbeing benefits for all of our clients.
