QCF Qualifications funding for unemployed learners
Unit funding is now available for ASDAN QCF qualifications (AoPE, CVQ, Employability and PSD) for unemployed learners, subject to the information below: Download the list of eligible units
From 2011/12 the Skills Funding Agency is supporting the delivery of QCF units to a range of learners in a range of contexts:
- to unemployed learners on active benefits, i.e. Employment and Support Allowance - Work Related Activity Group (ESA - WRAG) and Job Seekers Allowance (JSA). This will be fully funded by the Agency.
- to other unemployed individuals who want to enter work and need skills training to help them do so. These learners can be fully funded, at the providers’ discretion, irrespective of whether they are in receipt of state benefit.
- as part of the OLASS offer. This will be fully funded by the Agency.
- as part of the Joint Investment programme. This will be co-funded by the Agency.
- Outside of the above, the Agency will not support unit delivery on either a fully funded or a co-funded basis.
ASDAN Programmes and Short Courses
These programmes can also be funded as they provide a curriculum approach for a number of ASDAN qualifications, which in turn provide the targeted outcomes for the funding. Here is a list of programmes (with LAD codes) and the qualifications they lead to:
