Resources for primary after-school clubs
Lift Off! is a set of 'off-the-shelf' resources that have been designed for use with 7-11 year olds in after-school clubs. Over 10 sessions, young people will work on a particular project, developing their skills in several key areas. The course book contains introductory information, session plans and photocopiable worksheets. Certification is available from ASDAN on completion.
Resource Packs
The products below are available to purchase via the Online Catalogue. New resources to support those delivering ASDAN programmes or qualifications are in development; the What's New section will contain up-to-date information about the latest products.
The CoPE Levels 1 and 2 Resource Pack is designed to help introduce and implement CoPE. It contains guidance on delivering CoPE at Levels 1 and 2, including information on each of the six skills units. There are printed worksheets for Section A and B challenges and a CD-ROM with electronic versions. Click the cover to download sample pages.
A pack of three A2 posters is available, which can be used to promote CoPE in classrooms or at parents and options evenings, etc. The posters are based on the CoPE skills units, what goes into a portfolio and case studies of CoPE students’ successes.
The CoPE Demonstration Portfolios (for Level 1 and Level 2) are based on real files that were successfully moderated. They include evidence for 120 hours worth of challenges plus completed Plan, Do, Review documents and Student Record Books. Click the cover images to download sample pages.
This resource supports the delivery of all the ASDAN Short Courses and provides advice, information and useful resources. This Guidance can be used by Short Course co-ordinators in a range of educational settings, including mainstream schools, colleges, alternative education provision and the non-formal sector. There is also a specific Resource Pack for the Personal Finance Short Course. It contains guidance for tutors, challenge-by-challenge teaching ideas, photocopiable worksheets and realistic financial documents (bills, statements, cheques, etc.)
The PSD Level 1 Resource Pack CD-ROM is available to purchase from the Online Catalogue. It is designed to support tutors as they guide their students through the qualification. The CD-ROM includes guidance on delivery, printable worksheets, lesson ideas and other resources to accompany Section A challenges in the PSD Student Book.
