Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) Workshops
What is CoPE?
The Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) is the qualification outcome of the ASDAN Silver, Gold and Universities Award programmes and offers an imaginative way of accrediting young people’s curriculum enrichment and extra-curricular activities, allowing centres to certificate a wide range of personal qualities, skills and achievements, as well as introducing new activities and challenges.
CoPE has been allocated the following GCSE and AS-equivalent points in the attainment tables:
- 25 points at Level 1 (GCSE Grade E/F)
- 46 points at Level 2 (GCSE B)
- 70 UCAS points at Level 3 (AS Level Grade A) - see Level 3 training information below

CoPE Levels 1 and 2 Workshop
The CoPE workshops aim to develop awareness and understanding of CoPE, and consider issues of implementation and quality assurance. They outline the requirements for the qualification, whilst identifying development and assessment opportunities from within a range of ASDAN Challenges.
There will be input from staff involved with respective programmes who have experience of running CoPE with young people of all abilities and who also understand the management and administration issues involved.
The workshops will give you all the information you need to develop the qualification in your establishment, and enable you to attend your local cluster meetings.

Level 3 Training
