Teaching ASDAN with Practical Examples

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for school/college tutors, training providers and other educators who are looking for practical examples of how to teach and assess using the ASDAN methodology.

What is it about?

The workshop aims to explore active teaching and learning strategies through project-based learning and will provide you with practical examples ideally suited to the delivery of:

• ASDAN Bronze, Silver and Gold programmes
• CoPE

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is relevant to managers, teachers, trainers and support staff involved in engaging learners at any level and in any setting. It is particularly appropriate for those working face-to-face with challenging learners.

What is it about?

This workshop reflects the expectations of the Taylor Review of Alternative Provision (March 2012) and those outlined in the Government’s ‘Ensuring Good Behaviour in Schools’. It will also look at how Ofsted will reach judgements on Behaviour and Safety under the new inspection framework.

During this workshop, delegates will have the opportunity to explore:

• Expectations
• Factors that influence behaviour
• The nature of disruptive behaviour
• Early intervention strategies
• Proactive strategies to improve behaviour
• Target setting for specific teaching and learning situations, using ASDAN materials
