Wider Key Skills Workshops
Who is this workshop for?
Staff who are offering, or are considering offering Wider Key Skills Qualifications and who would like the opportunity to explore their value to learners and to develop good practice. It is also for staff involved in ASDAN Programmes or Qualifications who wish to improve their understanding, or progress their students to Wider Key Skills.
What are the Wider Key Skills?
There are three Wider Key Skills:
- Working with Others
- Improving Own Learning and Performance
- Problem Solving
These Wider Key Skills Qualifications are a way of assessing and accrediting the Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS). They can be used with Pre- and Post-16 students, as well as adults, and are included in School and College Achievement and Attainment Tables (see performance points information). They are also recognised by employers and Higher Education.
