Personal Finance: From light touch to qualification

The new entitlement for economic wellbeing and financial capability comes in to being in the new secondary curriculum from September 2008. ASDAN offers the widest range of programmes, awards and qualifications to accredit achievements for learners of all abilities, aged 8 to 108.

Awards

The Personal Finance Award is one of ASDAN’s popular and successful Short Course Awards. It accredits up to 60 hours of activities in financial Capability and economic wellbeing. In July 2007 the Award book and Teaching and Learning Resource Pack were awarded the pfeg Quality Mark.

Qualifications

The main qualification that ASDAN offers is the Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) through Personal Finance at Levels 1, 2 and 3.
