External Quality Assurer

ASDAN is seeking to extend our bank of freelance External Quality Assurers (EQAs) to cover work on a freelance basis in the North East, London, South East, West Midlands, North West, Oxfordshire and Devon/Cornwall in the following qualifications:

  • Certificate and Awards of Personal Effectiveness Levels 1–3
  • Employability qualifications Entry level 2–Level 3
  • Personal Progress Entry level

EQAs will conduct both remote and face-to-face activities to review the following areas:

  • Planning and delivery methods for each qualification
  • Assessment methods used
  • Management of the centre’s quality assurance system

EQAs will also:

  • conduct centre approval visits for new ASDAN qualification centres
  • attend EQA training/standardisation events arranged by ASDAN
  • complete and submit accurate, professional and concise moderation and quality reports according to agreed timescales in line with ASDAN’s policies procedures and regulatory requirements

Successful applicants are required to:

  • have experience of teaching/assessing/moderating ASDAN qualifications
  • hold a V1 or A1 qualification or equivalent (TAQA Level 3 and 4) and/or be working towards L4 external quality assurance qualification
  • have a minimum regulated qualification of level 3 in your specialist subjects
  • have at least 3 years’ previous experience either training or assessing in personal development qualifications
  • travel within a radius of up to 60 miles from their home base
  • have reliable internet access and IT equipment
