Raising Aspirations

P

What is it?

Raising Aspirations comprises four modules that have been designed for learners aged 13 and under with special educational needs and disabilities.

Each module focuses on a different Preparing for Adulthood pathway (employment, independent living, community inclusion and health). Modules can be undertaken separately and built into a profile of achievement. For each module learners complete activities and gather evidence to demonstrate their progress and skill development.

Who is it for?

Learners aged 13 and under with special educational needs. It is particularly appropriate for those working with just one young person or a small group of learners, such as:

  • Home educators
  • Parents
  • Primary schools

Facts and figures

  • Modules to support learners aged 13 and under with SEND
  • Available to registered and non-registered centres
  • Certificates of achievement can be awarded at the discretion of the tutor

Modules

Each candidate will need one copy of the module book(s) they are working towards. As they complete activities within the book, candidates also build up a portfolio of evidence, showing how they have developed and practised their skills.

There are four modules available, each one focusing on a different area of skills development (click on the titles to download a sample copy):

Resources

Packs of supporting resources are available to support the delivery of Raising Aspirations. These packs contain resources and templates to support the activities within the modules and assist learners in building their portfolio of evidence.

There are four packs available, one for each of the module books (click on the titles to download a sample copy):

Certification

Tutors can reward learners' achievements using internally-awarded certificates.
