  • Use clear speech or signing to say 'please' and 'thankyou' to familiar and unfamiliar people in four different situations e.g. the lunch queue, at a shop, asking for the toilet
  • Use clear speech, signing and/or body language to reply to a 'thank you' appropriately with familiar adults, on three different occasions e.g. smiling, giving eye contact, saying "You're welcome"
  • Ask a customer "How may I help you?" using clear speech or signing and appropriate body language and eye contact in a work experience setting or role play
  • Use clear speech or signing ask for help from familiar and unfamiliar adults in four different familiar and unfamiliar situations e.g. on a school trip asking a familiar staff member where the toilets are, at school asking an unfamiliar staff member if they can change their library book, at a supermarket asking a member of staff where the milk is, asking a bus driver to let them know when they reach the correct stop
