Building resilience in schools

Public Health England's report, Building children and young people's resilience in schools, has explored what resilience can do to close the gap.

Among the findings, it notes that “approaches that are only targeted at the most ‘at risk’ children or young adults run the risk of stigmatising these pupils, and thereby reducing protective factors such as peer support.”

ASDAN schools know this as “the Wide CoPE effect” – read more about how using ASDAN across a cohort raises the chances of pupils achieving Grades A*-C in GCSE English and Maths.
