European partnership develops new Entry level qualifications

Published

ASDAN is delighted to be participating in the European Union’s Erasmus+ project, Sendi (Special Educational Needs and Disability Inclusion). This is a collaboration between partners in six EU member states to develop and test new adult employability qualifications and units for SEN learners. The following Award-sized qualifications are being made available:

  • Catering
  • Facilitary Services
  • Packaging
  • Order Picking
  • Cleanroom Processing
  • Green Jobs
  • Cutting & Construction
  • Safety in the Retail Work Place

The overall aim is that these units can be accessed by learners working at Entry 3 in the United Kingdom (Level 1 EQF). The qualifications each consist of three units that are approximately 20 hours each and each qualification is worth six credits, individual unit certification can be achieved.

ASDAN is searching for current or new centres to take part in the programme, beginning in May 2015. If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please contact Adrian Sladdin on adriansladdin@asdanteam.org.uk.
