Supporting adults aged 19-25 with a learning disability

ASDAN has been working with Equals to develop a toolkit for practitioners in colleges, social care, health care and parents working with adults aged 19-25 with a learning disability.

The aim of the 19-25 Toolkit is to enable practitioners to create personalised learning packages for students and young adults. The resource contains up-to-date information on SEND, for example funding, entitlements, health and safety and links to accredited programmes.

ASDAN's Focus resources are designed for learners aged 16+ with additional needs, specifically those who are learning in a domestic setting. The programme comprises 12 modules that can be undertaken separately and built into a profile of achievement.

Equals is based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is committed to improving the lives of children and people with learning difficulties and disabilities through supporting high quality education.
