ASDAN sponsors alternative provision category at TES Schools Awards

We are proud to announce that ASDAN will be sponsoring the Alternative Provision category at this year's TES Schools Awards.

The awards, which are open to all state and independent primary and secondary schools in the UK, reward outstanding practice and inspiring teaching across a number of categories.

The Alternative Provision School of the Year award celebrates the success of units that work every day to ensure students who may not be able to attend conventional school do not go without the great educational experience they deserve.

Kath Grant, ASDAN Director of Education, said: "ASDAN’s core values are to provide opportunities for all to achieve and to celebrate success; what better way to do that than to support the TES Schools Awards in general and to sponsor the Alternative Provision category in particular?

"We are delighted to see that excellence in provision for these learners, who are not always at the top of an agenda dominated by performance tables, is being celebrated in this way. We offer our heartfelt congratulations to everyone on the shortlist and look forward to meeting them at the awards ceremony in June."

The nominees are:

  • Clare Mount Specialist Sports College, Wirral
  • Hospital and Outreach Education, Northamptonshire
  • Longford Park School, Manchester
  • Melland High School, Manchester
  • Reach Pupil Referral Service, Staffordshire
  • The Wycombe Grange, Buckinghamshire
  • Uplands School, Swindon
  • Westmorland School - Witherslack Group, Lancashire

Winners will be announced at an awards night on Friday June 19 at Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London.
