Free STEM training for youth workers

Published

Youth workers who want to learn new ways to engage young people with STEM subjects can attend free training this summer.

Wellcome, a charitable foundation, is offering two-day training for science, technology, engineering and maths in Newcastle upon Tyne, Birmingham, Belfast, Glasgow, London, Merseyside and Hull.

Youth workers who take part will:

  • learn about the value of STEM skills
  • develop skills and confidence to include STEM activities in their programmes
  • find out about national STEM opportunities and initiatives
  • develop their own STEM action plan for implementation.

All the sessions are from 9am to 5pm with lunch and refreshments provided.

ASDAN offers flexible, accessible and engaging courses that provide a practical approach to STEM learning. These include our Short Courses in Mathematics and Science along with our Vocational Tasters in Computing and Manufacturing.
