Training webinars: book your place this September and October
September brings our new programme of training webinars on how to deliver ASDAN courses easily and effectively in your centre.
Delivered by our team of experts, each webinar provides an introduction to the ASDAN course, along with guidance on the processes involved, course delivery and moderation.
ASDAN webinars also fulfil the mandatory training required to deliver our qualifications.
New Personal Progress qualifications
This month sees the launch of our redeveloped Personal Progress qualifications, designed to meet the needs of learners with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) working at Entry 1 or below.
Personal Progress has been redeveloped following valuable feedback from our members and now includes:
- nine new units specifically written for learners with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)
- greater qualification flexibility with the launch of a new extended certificate (25 credits – approximately 25 hours work), in addition to the diploma (37 credits), certificate (14 credits) and the award (eight credits)
- streamlined documentation, which reduces course admin
Supporting the transition to adulthood
Personal Progress outcomes include enhanced life skills through engaging and meaningful real-life activities. This includes improved communication and problem-solving ability. Learners will also develop essential characteristics like resilience, confidence and self-esteem.
