Resources Archive

ASDAN's Programmes and Qualifications have many cross-curricular links. They also offer opportunities to focus on specific themes and issues, which can tie in with awareness-raising days and weeks.

Below is a selection of resources and ideas that have previously been developed to provide links to various awareness-raising days/weeks.

ASDAN programmes and qualifications can provide suitable activities and opportunities to accredit the skills young people develop through their work with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which raises money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The World's Biggest Coffee morning takes place in September each year. Download the guide to linking ASDAN challenges to the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

World Food Day

World Food Day is an opportunity to reflect on the suffering of the 1.02 billion people across the world who are malnourished.

The activities that take place during World Food Day can be used as a vehicle to raise awareness and provide a learning link to ASDAN challenges at Key Stage 3 (Key Steps) and Key Stage 4 (CoPE and PSD). Full information about these ASDAN learning links is available to download.

Please visit the World Food Day website for further information.

Green Britain

Green Britain Day encourages us all to be a little greener, with events across the country, but it doesn't need to stop there... ASDAN Programmes and Qualifications provide many opportunities for young people of all abilities to consider environmental issues and accredit activities every day:

Key Stage 2: Stepping Stones

Key Stage 3: Key Steps; New Horizons (Preparatory)

Key Stage 4: Environmental Short Course; CoPE Levels 1 and 2; PSD

Post-16: CoPE Level 3; Towards Independence (Preparatory)

My Money Week

We at ASDAN are delighted to support the pfeg My Money Week initiative with activities and worksheets from two of our PSHE/Citizenship award programmes: Key Steps (11-14 year-olds) and the Personal Finance Short Course (13-16 year-olds).

All ASDAN Programmes are designed to help young people to develop their personal skills and celebrate their achievements with accreditation. The activities selected here will help students to demonstrate their skills of improving own learning, research, discussion and application of number. Planning and reviewing sheets are available to download here as a means to record the development of these skills.
