Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) and
Award of Personal Effectiveness (AoPE): introductory webinar
CoPE and AoPE Level 1 and 2 webinars aim to develop awareness and understanding of both qualifications, and consider issues of implementation and quality assurance.
The webinars outline the requirements for the qualifications, while identifying development and assessment opportunities from a range of ASDAN challenges.
The training will give you all the information you need to develop the qualifications in your establishment, and enable you to attend your local cluster meetings.
New Personal and Social Effectiveness qualifications
Please note that ASDAN is planning to launch new Personal and Social Effectiveness Level 1 and 2 qualifications across England, Wales and Northern Ireland in September 2021. These will replace AoPE and CoPE (Award and Certificate of Personal Effectiveness) Level 1 and 2 with an enhanced qualification designed to engage, elevate and empower young people.
Learner registrations for the Award and Certificate of Personal Effectiveness will remain available for purchase until 31 December 2022.
Upcoming webinars for CoPE and AoPE are listed below. Alternatively, you can book a training webinar for Personal and Social Effectiveness qualifications.
Training for CoPE and AoPE Level 3 is available as part of a separate session.
What is CoPE?
The Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) offers an imaginative way of accrediting young people’s curriculum enrichment and extra-curricular activities, allowing centres to certificate a wide range of personal qualities, skills and achievements, as well as introducing new activities and challenges.
Detailed information about the qualification is available on the CoPE qualification page.
What is AoPE?
The Award of Personal Effectiveness (AoPE) is a shorter version of the Certificate of Personal Effectiveness, sits within the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is approved as eligible for use in Foundation Learning provision at Level 1.
Detailed information about the qualification is available on the AoPE qualification page.
