. Research a range of soap box cart designs and identify the advantages and disadvantages of the designs. -

. Draw at least five prototype designs by hand. -

. Improve prototype designs to create a refined soapbox car design. -

. Use CAD software to create drawings of parts of the soapbox car.

Assessment criteria
(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)
The learner can:
- Use the internet and presentation software to find and showcase six soapbox cart designs and identify two advantages and disadvantages for each design
- Present designs to peers and take feedback on them
- Use hand drawing techniques and tools to draw at least five prototype designs
- Present the designs to peers and take feedback
- Use a drawing board and a technical drawing sheet to create a finalised design by hand
- Discuss final designs with peers and take feedback
- Make improvements to the design following feedback
- Use appropriate CAD software (such as Fusion 360) to design two individual parts to use for the soapbox cart
- Use 3D printing technology to create two parts to use on the soapbox cart, selecting appropriate materials
- Use additive manufacturing methods to produce simple parts for the soapbox cart e.g. washers, grips, clips etc
