ASDAN membership
ASDAN membership gives members access to flexible, skills-led qualifications and certificated courses for learners working from pre-Entry to Level 3.
If you join or renew with ASDAN after 1 April 2026, you will move onto our streamlined membership model.
Our curriculum experts can help you identify courses that meet your learners’ needs and create flexible pathways towards further education, training, employment and adult life.
Membership for organisations joining or renewing after 1 April 2026 includes:
- staff training for as many colleagues as required, excluding tailored INSET*
- access to apply to deliver ASDAN’s full range of courses and qualifications, subject to approval
- centre approval, with no separate centre approval fee
- external quality assurance for qualifications
- in-person programmes moderation
- ongoing curriculum and delivery support
- access to course guidance, assessment materials and teaching resources
- support from ASDAN’s Centre Support Team and curriculum experts
- continuing professional development through training and special interest groups
- opportunities to share practice and contribute to the development of ASDAN’s offer.
*training can be accessed by as many colleagues as needed, subject to availability and fair access limits for individual sessions. Tailored INSET can be arranged at an additional cost.
ASDAN members can apply to deliver our range of practical, flexible and skills-led courses, subject to approval.
Our offer includes certificated courses from pre-Entry and regulated qualifications from Entry Level 1 to Level 3, including:

- Moving On
- My Independence
- Personal Development Programmes (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Preparing for Adulthood
- Project Qualifications, including Foundation Project Qualification Level 1, Higher Project Qualification Level 2 and Extended Project Qualification Level 3
- Personal Progress
- Personal Effectiveness Qualifications
- Personal and Social Development
- Short Courses (multiple titles)
These courses support personal and social development, employability, work readiness, independent living, project-based learning and curriculum enrichment.
ASDAN provides flexible pathways from pre-Entry to Level 3, helping members support learners at different stages of education and adult life.
Courses can help learners to:
- engage or re-engage with education
- develop personal, social and employability skills
- build confidence and independence
- prepare for adulthood and employment
- progress to further education, training or regulated qualifications.
Our curriculum maps show how ASDAN courses can be combined to create individual pathways. Examples include mainstream and careers education, EOTAS, virtual schools, learners with SEND, youth justice and apprenticeship readiness.
- Complete our expression of interest form and provide some initial information about your organisation and learners.
- An education development partner will contact you to discuss your organisation, learners’ needs and intended delivery. They will also advise the most appropriate membership band.
- Your education development partner will guide you through the application, including confirming which ASDAN courses you wish to deliver. As part of the application, you will be asked to provide:
- details of key contacts
- relevant policies (eg safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR)
- explanations of your internal processes (eg enrolment, assessment)
- ASDAN will review your application and supporting information. We may ask for further documentation or clarification as part of our quality assurance checks. Once all requirements have been met and payment has been received, your organisation will become an approved ASDAN member.
- Approved members receive access to the members’ area and can:
- book staff training
- access course guidance and member resources
- order learner materials
- create cohorts
- register learners for approved courses
- access ongoing delivery and quality assurance support.
For organisations intending to deliver regulated qualifications, additional approval requirements may apply.
Membership approval can take as little as one to two weeks when all required information is supplied promptly.
All application requirements must be completed within six months of submission. Applications that exceed this period will expire and a new application will be required.
