- Conduct research from a range of sources to identify needs within the local community
- Understand the different needs identified within the community
- Identify current initiatives in place to support local needs
- Conduct research to identify how current affairs impact the community
- Produce a report on how current affairs impact the local community
- Identify support available for those affected
- Conduct research using the internet to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns run by others
- Identify the skills required to carry out a successful campaign
- Note any similarities to the campaigns run by others and the local needs of the community identified
