The learner can:

  • Identify gloves and a mask as safety equipment for handling manure
  • With support, explore clean, dry manure or paper pulp through touch or sight
  • Take part in placing materials into a container ready for mixing
  • Observe a demonstration of filling a briquette press
  • Help add mixture into the press with support
  • Watch and describe what happens when the press is pushed down
  • Take part in placing a finished brick on a drying rack with guidance
