The learner can:

  • Use pictures or symbols to identify two reasons that led to the sinking of the Titanic e.g hitting an iceberg, human error
  • Take part in an experiment using three different items and use pictures or symbols to comment on whether they float or sink
  • Explore items that would have belonged to first class passengers aboard the Titanic using pictures e.g. clothing, suitcases, type of room, menus
  • Explore items that would have belonged to second class passengers aboard the Titanic using pictures e.g. clothing, suitcases, type of room, menus
  • Explore items that would have belonged to third class passengers aboard the Titanic using pictures e.g. clothing, suitcases, type of room, menus
