  • Explain how wildlife contributes to the farm ecosystem (e.g. pollination, pest control, soil health)
  • Identify examples of local wildlife species and their habitats on or near the farm
  • Describe how farming practices can positively or negatively affect wildlife populations


  • Choose one specific conservation task to support local wildlife (e.g. building a bug hotel, planting pollinator-friendly plants, maintaining hedgerows, creating bird boxes, or a small pond area)
  • Explain why the task has been chosen and which species it is intended to support
  • Research and outline the materials, steps, and time required to complete the task
  • Identify any health, safety, and environmental considerations before starting
