The learner can:

  • Write legibly and for a purpose using different formats e.g. lists, emails, messages, order forms and accident reports in a work-related situation on at least five occasions
  • Use simple grammar and punctuation including full stops, capital letters, commas in lists and speech marks when writing for a purpose in a work-related situation on at least five occasions

  • Read simple instructions, using a variety of decoding strategies, and act upon them in a work-related setting on at least five occasions
  • Read simple instructions, using a variety of decoding strategies, and ask for clarification when unsure in a work-related setting on at least three occasions
  • Read simple safety advice/rules, using a variety of decoding strategies, and follow the advice/rules contained in a work-related setting on at least three occasions
