The learner can:

  • Create a list of all the things that make them who they are
  • Identify something about their identity that has changed in the past year e.g., a new skill they have learned or a new friend they have made
  • Create a sphere of influence showing people, groups, and environments that influence their choices, behaviour, and identity, for example family, friends, teachers, social media, community groups, or role models
  • List three expectations they have of themselves, their friends, and their family, for example honesty, kindness, respect, support, responsibility, or good communication
  • Demonstrate active listening skills, for example maintaining attention, responding appropriately, asking relevant questions, waiting for their turn to speak, or showing respect for others’ opinions
