The learner can:
- Research the plants, flowered and grasses which encourage different insects into the garden
- Choose a space within the garden to use for a wildflower meadow
- Prepare the ground for planting
- Sow the seeds in the space and maintain this over time to encourage growth
- Research different types of bug hotel which encourage insects to frequent the space
- Create either an individual bug hotel, or a large scale bug hotel as a group, filling it with appropriate material to encourage bugs to visit
- Create a habitat for a larger creature, following instructions with minimal support e.g. bats, birds, hedgehog or frogs
