The learner can:

  • Name at least five animals that live in the ocean.
  • Provide details of their habitat, life cycles and other appropriate information to create a fact file for each
  • State their conservation status in their fact files (eg endangered, extinct, safe etc)
  • Identify at least four marine habitats (e.g. coral reef, deep sea, shore)
  • Match examples of marine animals and plants to their habitats
  • Create an illustrated presentation showcasing the key elements of each habitat and what plants and animals live there
