The learner can:

  • Identify the PPE required for the project and be able to explain what they are used for
  • Take part in a discussion about health and safety in the project
  • Complete a risk assessment for the project
  • Identify the tools needed for the project
  • Identify what the tools will be used for in the project
  • Demonstrate safe working practices e.g. tool handling, PPE use
  • Take part in training on risk assessment writing
  • Complete a project risk assessment including at least five named hazards
  • Prepare the project plan for a chosen DIY Task
