- Explain the properties of common plumbing materials and why they are suitable for a specific task
- Identify and describe the function of key plumbing components (e.g. elbow joints, âTâ joints, shut-off valves, taps, end caps)
- Select appropriate materials and components for a given task
- Select and use appropriate tools safely and effectively (e.g. wrench, spanner)
- Demonstrate a range of plumbing techniques (e.g. tightening fittings, connecting pipes) with independence
