- Describe the artist’s style, techniques and subject matter
- Identify features of the artist’s work including colour, line, shape and expression
- Describe likes and dislikes about the artist’s work
- describe how the artist has influenced their own artwork
- Explore a range of portrait artworks
- Describe similarities and differences between artworks
- Give opinions about portrait artworks and give reasons
- Use appropriate art vocabulary when discussing artwork
- Describe how artists represent people in different ways
- Name four or more pieces of art equipment
- Describe the purpose of art equipment and materials
- Present at least two portrait drawing or painting techniques
- Use equipment safely and appropriately
- Follow health and safety procedures during practical activities
