  • Separate facts from assumptions for each problem
  • Suggest two possible meanings for at least two unclear messages
  • Explain the viewpoints of at least three people involved
  • Compare two possible responses to each of the four problems
  • Select a response to each problem and justify their decisions
  • Create three realistic communications: one to clarify information, one to set a boundary and one to repair a misunderstanding
  • Identify appropriate support in two situations and explain why it would be helpful
