- Identify four communication or social problems within the case
- Separate facts from assumptions for each problem
- Suggest two possible meanings for at least two unclear messages
- Explain the viewpoints of at least three people involved
- Compare two possible responses to each of the four problems
- Select a response to each problem and justify their decisions
- Create three realistic communications: one to clarify information, one to set a boundary and one to repair a misunderstanding
- Identify appropriate support in two situations and explain why it would be helpful
