The learner can:
- Choose one real person who was accused of witchcraft
- Use at least two sources to find out about the case
- Record key information about who the person was, where and when the case happened, what they were accused of and what happened to them
- Identify examples of recorded fact, accusation or claim, folklore or later retelling
- Choose at least three accusations or claims from the case and explain what evidence, if any, was used to support them
- Compare at least two different viewpoints connected with the case
- Identify ways in which fear, rumours, assumptions or attitudes at the time may have affected how the accused person was viewed or treated
- Comment on the reliability of at least two sources
- Identify one part of the case where the truth cannot now be known for certain
