ASDAN expands opportunities for schools in Qatar

ASDAN is developing its work with schools in Qatar to support British curriculum delivery and UK qualification pathways.

Following ongoing engagement with Dr Rania and colleagues within the Ministry of Education, ASDAN is preparing to onboard schools delivering the British curriculum and UK qualification pathways. Training and implementation support will be available ahead of delivery from September 2026.

This is the first phase of ASDAN’s work with schools in Qatar. We will work with schools that share a commitment to:

  • preparing learners for a rapidly changing world
  • embedding skills alongside academic learning
  • supporting wellbeing and belonging
  • creating meaningful pathways into higher education, employment and lifelong learning

ASDAN pathways can help schools to support:

  • skills development
  • employability
  • project and portfolio-based learning
  • wellbeing and belonging
  • enrichment
  • inclusion and equity
  • preparation for higher education and future careers

The briefing will also explore how ASDAN courses and qualifications can complement existing British curriculum pathways, including GCSE, A-level, BTEC and wider enrichment models.

Schools in Qatar are invited to join an online briefing session on Monday 15 June 2026 at 10am to learn more about ASDAN’s courses and qualifications, and how they can support curriculum planning for the 2026/27 academic year.

During the session, school leaders will have the opportunity to:

  • explore ASDAN courses and UK-regulated qualifications
  • understand how ASDAN supports practical, skills-based learning
  • discuss curriculum alignment and learner progression
  • hear about training and ongoing support
  • ask questions directly to the ASDAN team

To register for the briefing session, please contact Darren Hughes at international@asdan.org.uk

ASDAN would like to thank colleagues at Pearling Season International School and Doha College for their ongoing support, conversations and commitment to exploring innovative approaches to curriculum and learner development in Qatar.

Over the coming months, ASDAN will continue discussions around wider recognition and equivalency pathways for learners in Qatar. This will help explore how ASDAN programmes and qualifications may align within the broader national education landscape.

For more than 35 years, ASDAN has worked with schools and education organisations to engage, elevate and empower learners through meaningful, applied learning.
