ASDAN launches new Cross-sector Lab podcast with Dame Alison Peacock episode

ASDAN is delighted to announce the launch of our new podcast, Cross-sector Lab: reimagine education together. Hosted by our Chief Executive, Melissa Farnham, the series will bring together leaders from education, business, policy and community to explore ideas, challenge existing systems and develop practical strategies that create meaningful opportunities for all learners.

Guided by ASDAN’s mission to engage, elevate and empower learners, the Cross-sector lab podcast is a space for curiosity, dialogue and creative thinking – where asking ‘What if?’ becomes the starting point for positive change. Each episode will open up fresh perspectives on how we can reimagine education and work across sectors to ensure every learner is supported to thrive.

Each episode will feature voices from different sectors who share a commitment to inclusive, equitable education, helping us imagine new ways to support learners and the educators who inspire them.

Episode one is available now

The first edition of the Cross-sector Lab podcast is released today. Melissa is joined by Dame Alison Peacock, Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching and one of the most influential voices in UK education.

Alison shares her insights on teacher agency, inclusive pedagogy and how her Learning Without Limits philosophy can dismantle limiting labels, promote equity and inspire hope in classrooms. Together with Melissa, they explore pressing themes on how teachers can be empowered to create barrier-free learning environments, even within risk-averse systems, and what opportunities lie ahead for advancing equity for learners affected by poverty.

Tune in to hear a reflection on the power of empowering teachers, the importance of inclusivity and the opportunities that come from breaking down barriers to learning.
