Connect and develop with ASDAN this term

As the new term gets underway, we’re pleased to share some updates and opportunities designed to support you.

Whether you are looking to strengthen delivery or keen to connect with others in the sector, here's how you can engage with ASDAN in the months ahead.

Special interest groups

ASDAN’s special interest groups provide a space for practitioners to come together, exchange ideas and explore shared challenges. Each session focuses on a specific area of practice and encourages open discussion and collaboration.

This term’s programme includes groups focusing on:

  • Careers, education and work-based learning
  • Breaking the cycle – can education prevent reoffending?
  • Alternative provision
  • Supporting learners with SEND, including MLD, SLD and PMLD

To support productive discussion, we ask attendees to choose the group most relevant to their role or setting. Sessions are designed to be interactive, and participants are encouraged to contribute and engage with peers. More groups will also be announced soon – keep up to date on the special interest groups page.

Training

Alongside our special interest groups, ASDAN offers a programme of training events to support confident, high-quality delivery across our programmes and qualifications.

Training sessions combine practical guidance with opportunities for shared learning, helping practitioners build skills, deepen understanding and connect with colleagues working in similar contexts. Head to our training page to see the calendar of upcoming events.

ASDAN remains committed to supporting inclusive and meaningful learning across all settings. We look forward to continuing to work with our members throughout the term and beyond.
