About this course

What are the Preparing for Adulthood programmes?

These courses have been developed for learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This range of certificated programmes provides a real-life context to reward achievement and foster the personal, social and work-related abilities of all learners.

Addressing SEND areas of need

ASDAN has produced guidance documents showing how components of our Preparing for Adulthood programmes and Entry 1 qualifications in Personal Progress can meet the four broad areas of need outlined in the SEND code of practice. Download our free guide to addressing SEND areas of need.

If you're interested in person-centred programmes that meet the needs of SEND learners, take a look at My Independence, our suite of four certificated programmes aimed at young people with a range of special educational needs.
