ASDAN and globalbridge collaborate to empower learners and enhance employability
“This isn't just a collaboration; it's a powerful fusion of platforms dedicated to transforming the educational landscape."
ASDAN is pleased to announce a new partnership with globalbridge, a digital platform that enables learners to showcase their skills and achievements to education and industry. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world opportunities, empowering learners to take ownership of their skills narrative.
Skills are in ASDAN’s DNA. Our six core skills – Learning, Communicating, Decision Making, Thinking, Team Working, and Self-Awareness – each underpinned by supporting skills, provide learners with a practical set of tools attuned to their own needs and the contemporary demands of life, learning, and employment. Integrated within ASDAN’s curriculum and its new digital learning platform, Equitas, these core skills can now be verified and shared digitally through globalbridge, enabling learners to build a verified record of their achievements that can be showcased to universities, employers, and training providers.
Ben Mason, Founder and CEO of globalbridge, says: “I'm genuinely thrilled to announce the strategic partnership between globalbridge and ASDAN. This isn't just a collaboration; it's a powerful fusion of platforms dedicated to transforming the educational landscape. We know the future of work demands more than just exam grades – it requires validated, demonstrable skills. By integrating ASDAN's world-class, rigorous curriculum of skills development with globalbridge’s ability to digitise, track, and share every learner's journey, we are finally bridging the persistent gap between what education offers and what employers demand. This collective effort ensures that every young person's unique strengths and accomplishments are not just recognised, but are portable and powerful assets in their career portfolio.”
Melissa Farnham, CEO of ASDAN, adds: “This partnership represents a bold step forward in realising ASDAN’s long-standing mission: ensuring that young people’s skills and achievements are recognised and valued beyond the classroom. By combining our evidence-based skills curriculum with globalbridge’s innovative platform, we’re creating a direct pathway between learning and opportunity. Together, we are redefining what ‘achievement’ looks like.”
Mason continues: “The real impact here is on the individual learner. For too long, valuable skills developed outside the academic core – such as leadership, resilience, and teamwork – have been largely invisible. Now, every skill honed through ASDAN's programmes can be articulated on a learner's globalbridge profile. This newfound clarity doesn't just improve their application opportunities; it fundamentally empowers their confidence. We are giving young people the tangible evidence they need to stand tall in any interview and compete effectively in the global skills economy; a comprehensive digital record of all their achievements.”
Farnham emphasises the role of learner agency: “Learner agency is built when young people can see the value of their own contributions. Not just what they’ve been taught, but what they’ve achieved and developed as individuals. By making these skills visible and verifiable, we’re preparing them for adult life: to advocate for themselves, to take responsibility for their personal development, and to navigate complex, evolving career landscapes with confidence.”
Mason adds: “This partnership is about making young people not just ready for the future, but actively shaping it by giving them full ownership and control over their entire skills narrative, throughout their education.”
Farnham concludes: “Empowering young people to own their journey is at the heart of ASDAN’s philosophy. This is more than digital innovation; it’s a fundamental shift in power towards the learner. True preparation for adult life isn’t passive; it happens when young people are given real agency, the ability to steer their own journey, reflect on their growth, and communicate their value to the world. Together with globalbridge, we’re equipping learners with the tools, recognition, and confidence they need to shape their futures. This partnership is about unlocking their potential and ensuring every learner has both the platform and the power to write their own story and thrive in adulthood.”
