ASDAN is pleased to share details of a range of upcoming opportunities this spring to support members delivering our programmes.
Support meetings
Following the success of last year’s pilot, ASDAN is pleased to confirm a further run of programmes support meetings taking place throughout March.
These online sessions are designed to support centres by making it easier to access guidance, share good practice and connect with fellow practitioners. Attendees will have the chance to enhance their skills, explore ASDAN resources and deepen their programme knowledge, while supporting their ongoing professional development.
View the full schedule of support meetings and make your booking via the links below:
- Personal Development Programmes, Key Steps and Short Courses
- Preparing for Adulthood, My Independence and Lifeskills Challenge
Please note that these sessions will repeat content from the autumn support meetings.
Moderation
Programmes moderation is available for members delivering Personal Development Programmes (PDP Bronze, Silver and Gold) and Preparing for Adulthood programmes, including New Horizons, Towards Independence, Transition Challenge and Workright.
Both postal and in-person moderation is available, please view this document for options.
Guidance on how to book is also available.
Centres are reminded that PDP 2014 student books are no longer valid. All learners submitted for moderation must use the 2020 student book, and all 2014 mandatory paperwork has now been removed from the ASDAN website.
My Independence CPD meeting
Centres delivering My Independence are invited to attend the annual My Independence CPD meeting, taking place on Tuesday 24 March, 10am–12noon.
This focused CPD session provides an opportunity to refresh practice, share and learn from best practice across centres, connect with other ASDAN members and receive feedback on learner portfolios. Attendance at a CPD meeting is required for centres to be eligible to request ‘full course’ certificates.
