Esports Short Course
About this course
What is it?
The Esports Short Course is designed to help learners who have a passion for competitive gaming, and a general interest in esports, prove a range of future-ready skills to set them on a pathway towards a career in the world of esports.
Topics include setting up esports teams and tournaments, careers in esports, and the international impact of this multi-billion pound industry which attracts hundreds of millions of viewers.
The course has been created by James Fraser-Murison, a globally recognised esports speaker and consultant, and co-author of the world’s first Esports BTEC:
“Esports is more than just competitive gaming – it’s a gateway to developing essential skills, building confidence and preparing learners for the jobs of tomorrow.”
Esports is available exclusively on ASDAN's digital learning platform, Equitas. By completing a range of challenges, learners can build up evidence of skills in areas such as learning, communicating, decision-making, thinking, team working and self-awareness, all highly beneficial for pursuing a career in the esports industry.
