About this course

What is it?

ASDAN has been offering qualifications in personal effectiveness skills for over 20 years through its Certificate of Personal Effectiveness, Award of Personal Effectiveness, and Personal and Social Effectiveness qualifications. 

Following on from the recent review of ASDAN's core skills, our personal effectiveness qualifications are being updated so that they also stay relevant to today’s evolving landscape.

The updated Personal Effectiveness Qualifications (PEQ) engage learners through real-world subjects and activities they are interested in, enabling them to develop and demonstrate skills in: 

• learning
• communicating (including through group discussions and delivering presentations)
• decision making (previously known as problem solving)
• thinking (previously known as research)
• team working
• self awareness 

Our renewed qualifications includes Award, Extended Award and Certificate-sized qualifications at Entry 3, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.

In preparation for the launch of the ASDAN Personal Effectiveness Qualifications in September 2025, we are holding a series of one-hour briefing sessions to introduce the new qualification suite and explain how they might work for your learners.
